"Beautiful room, friendly staff, and it's all super close to the beach! The room had hardwood floors and a Jacuzzi tub- I was really impressed. The only downside was the loud train that passed by every hour of the night. I think if you sleep with the windows closed this is not a problem."

"It's an older hotel but very quaint and rustic. They do have a parking garage for guests, and once you park your car, you can walk to everything, even the shops in town. The ocean view is AMAZING. This is our second time here and we have decided to make it a yearly thing!"

"The wife and I stayed here for a weekend and loved it. The rooms are quaint and the deck outside the rooms are perfect for watching the sun set over the ocean. If you want the Ritz, this isn’t the place. If you want a comfortable room with a nice bed, look no further. The bathroom tubs are a little dated, and used to have a jacuzzi function, which no longer works, but the shower was hot and worked fine...."

"Beautiful place and staff, Adriana, and Liz and the cleaning crew, always helpful and super nice. Came for business, found it so pleasant that we later returned for pleasure, several days each visit. Feels like a European hotel on the coast and would recommend to other Europeans as well. The only minus: There is a train stop in front. US train whistles and horns are way louder than in Europe and Asia. The city of San Clemente should muffle the..."

"Loved this place! Really cute room, bed, pillows, sheets, super comfy, had a great balcony on each floor overlooking beach and pier that we enjoyed our cocktails on each evening to watch the sunset. Easy walking acess to everything. We love to stay at unique older places so this was perfect. Only complaint was all the stairs for us 2 seniors. Also price was great for a place right on the beach."

"This place is awesome. Perfect location and the rooms and balconies were perfect. Bed was extremely comfortable and great bathroom/shower. Adriana could not have been nicer from the initial phone reservation until checkout. This was our first visit but definitely not our last."

"Rooms are great. Bed and sheets are awesome as well. Location is prime. However spending Sunday night is maybe not so great. Leaf blowers, construction peeps, at 7am people are loud at the window and dragging and moving around chairs. For what we paid it was not worth it. Staff when you check in is great! Lastly at 8am a cleaning woman came in our room and said she thought we had left. What the heck! No knock no warning...."
